CONSIDER: is a non-partisan, non-profit publication operated by students at the University of Michigan. Consider’s purpose is to provide an open forum for discussion of significant issues of campus, community and national interest.
With each publication, Consider will focus on one issue, presenting two or more contrary viewpoints or positions. Articles submitted by students, professors, and writers in the general community will constitute Consider’s content. The opinions expressed in Consider are not necessarily those of the staff, advisers, sponsors, or advertisers.
Our goal is to establish an open dialogue with our readers. Letters will be printed and entire issues will be devoted to them when the response warrants it. Comments, criticisms, and suggestions are always welcome and appreciated.
Consider was launched in 1983 by Hillel with the co-sponsorship of several University of Michigan departments and programs as an independent weekly student-run publication.
Every issue that we are faced with in this world, from the minute to the grand, has more than one side. No matter the topic, whether it is politics, sex or religion, Consider presents issues that not only appeal to the general student body but are also, in their nature, issues that students can affect. Look for the print issues around North and Central Campus.
