The second most viewed band on YouTube.  Not too shabby.  If you haven’t heard of these guys yet, then you’re in for a big treat.

Boyce Avenue is a group of three brothers, Alejandro, Fabian, and Daniel Manzano, who all play numerous instruments and contribute to the vocals of the different songs.  After college at both Harvard Law School and the University of Florida, the brothers began to record both original and cover music.  It is their cover music that took off and became popular, with Alejandro’s vocals pulling viewers back for more.  Not to mention, the band puts an interesting spin on each and every video that they produce.  They have gone on tour many times, and have even come here to Ann Arbor.  They continue to release original music out of their own label, and consistently post new cover video on YouTube.

Why listen to Boyce Avenue?  Firstly, they make their own versions of songs that people have already grown to love.  Sometimes, I find myself enjoying theit cover more than the original. Next, there is this likability factor that the group possesses.  They seem to be really selfless with their music, and they produce their music for their fans. Lastly, their story to fame started by simply uploading videos to YouTube.  Who knew that they would be on international tours and become the second most viewed band on YouTube behind Linkin Park? This band is definitely one to watch (and listen to of course) in the near future.

Check out Boyce Avenue’s cover of Michael Jackson’s “Will You Be There” (an all-time favorite cover of mine):
