Some things to catch up on from the weekend:

  • The uproar of protests around the globe might finally be paying off. For the first time ever, income inequality actually became a topic of concern at the World Economic Forum.
  • It might have taken the BP oil spill to face the issue, but U.S. Department of Agriculture just announced their $50 million plan to improve the water quality along the Gulf of Mexico.
  • Still have questions about Mitt Romney’s tax returns? Answers here.
  • Mixed reviews on Obama’s proposal at U-M last Friday.
  • We are still convinced there is extraterrestrial life out there, but we might not have the money to prove it.
  • Sunnis have promised to end their boycott of Iraqi Parliament, but not all issues have been resolved.
  • Occupy Oakland got out of hand this weekend resulting in over 400 arrests. Who is to blame?
  • Not a good weekend for Romney. Herman Cain announced his support for Gingrich before the primary in Florida, and NBC News asked him to remove “inappropriate” ads.
  • Could colored labels in cafeterias help kids eat healthier? It’s worth a shot considering pizza is still considered a vegetable according to USDA standards.
  • Sorry Michigan students, you’ll need to go to Rutgers if you want to take a class on Beyoncé.
