Who Will LSU Play Again?
All Things Consider — By clswift on November 14, 2011 at 12:00 pm
What re-match will we see? The debate to find which one-loss team is the best in the country has now begun. In other words, everyone wants to know which team is going to play against undefeated LSU in the BCS National Championship. After watching last night’s game between Oregon and Stanford, for me it looks like it will be a rematch between Oregon and LSU.
Why Not Oklahoma St.? Oklahoma will win the battle with their defense and score over 35 points to beat Oklahoma St. Oklahoma was able to stop Kansas State’s offense and score a lot while doing it; Oklahoma St. barely made it by. If they get by Oklahoma and win the Big 12 championship game, then Oregon will most likely lose its chance at the rematch against LSU.
Why Not Alabama? Alabama won’t have a chance to play in the SEC championship if LSU finishes the regular season undefeated. If Oregon wins the Pac-12 Championship game they should move ahead of Alabama in the confusing BCS rankings, and have a chance to rematch LSU.
Once again, like every year there are many predictions and what-if situations in the world of college football. Would moving to a playoff system be easier and save us a lot of headaches this time of year? You bet it would. This year we will all be dreaming of that while we watch LSU and Oregon in the BCS National Championship.
