President Obama took his $447 billion jobs plan on the road on Friday, exhorting college students here to contact their lawmakers. Obama’s choice of the Virginia capital for his first foray was no accident: it is the home district of Representative Eric Cantor, the House majority leader and one of the president’s fiercest antagonists on budget and economic matters.
