Kids Today: Clinton Was Right, Oral Sex Isn’t Sex
All Things Consider — By Daniel Strauss on April 5, 2010 at 10:31 am
Only 20% of college students consider oral sex “sex,” according to a new study to appear in the journal Perspectives on Sexual and Reproductive Health. The authors attribute the perception to the fact that the students were young adolescents during the Clinton-Lewinsky affair, which they describe as a “turning point” in the “reconceptualization” of oral sex.
The conclusion sound dubious and Freudian. I was in lower school when President Clinton tried to distinguish between oral sex and actual sex and so I didn’t understand it at all. Maybe if I had it would have made an impact on my outlook but me and people my age were simply too young to understand it. The fact that lots of young people today think the same way Clinton wanted us to is most likely just a coincidence.
