The Times Government Spending Map
All Things Consider — By Daniel Strauss on February 1, 2010 at 4:19 pmToday The New York Times published a cool chart that shows the spending breakdown in Obama’s proposed 2011 budget. The thing that really got me was that paying interest on our debt is a huge chunk of the pie. To compare, it’s bigger than all educational and general science spending combined, which is a little unsettling. I also have to wonder how real the distinction between the general science category and R&D for defense —I suspect a lot of the work done in general science is related to defense.

But the point about education and science is truly disheartening.
that is a really interesting chart and breaks down even the change from 2010 to today.
From the chart you can visually see how the government is looking at financing health care and medicare.
Also, the overwhelming spending on national defense, which i would not of expected
I clearly see what is important to the government, and what is not
