Consider’s New Blog

And so Consider has a blog —”The Conversationalist.” I’m Daniel Strauss, the magazine’s Editor-at-Large which in this case is a fancy name for blog editor or chief blog writer. Along with the rest of Consider‘s staff, I’ll be striving to write thought provoking posts based on my analysis of topics in the conversation (this blog is named The Conversationalist for a reason).

What we’ve set out to do with here is create a platform to mimic the mission of the print issue of Consider: encourage thinking, debate and well, conversation. That means anything on what people are talking about —books, politics, movies, art, whatever. In tracking and analyzing the conversation, we at Consider hope you, dear reader, will agree, disagree, argue, encourage, discourage and really just visit, read, and interact with us through the comments section. We’re trying to create a daily forum for thinking here and that requires you reader participation also. So don’t be afraid to share your thoughts (as long as they’re civil and constructive).

Note also that nothing posted here is necessarily the opinion of the entire staff. Each post comes from the writer and is not representative of anyone else or the magazine. The one exception to this rule is the following: we at Consider welcome you to our blog and sincerely hope you enjoy.
