What’s the best model for intellectual integrity? Is it the LS&A model, where exams a proctored to ensure fairness, is the CoE model, where exams, homework, etc are all taken on the Honor Code, or is it neither, something completely new?

What good does it do sending food to the starving if we don’t send them condoms as well. With the nourishment they receive it is inevitable that the population will grow and the next time food is unobtainable, the problem will be substantially worse for a growing number of people.

A former graduate student at Monroe College in New York is suing her alma mater for its failure to successfully help her find sustainable employment in the field she studied. The economic slowdown is squeezing academic institutions between providing students an enriched, academic experience and preparing them for a quickly shrinking workplace. If universities charge expensive tuition in return for excellent career training, what is that institution’s responsibility in assuring their student find jobs after graduation?
